Minnesota Rising is self described as a "conservative group dedicated to protecting our constitutional rights by getting election and legislative education into the hands of the voters and promoting conservative candidates running for local, state and federal offices".
Woodbury, MN - Minnesota Rising has been working to support small businesses that are financially struggling due to COVID-19 related shutdowns and restrictions. The group, lead by conservative activist Jen Leigh, has organized over a half dozen events to support small businesses in Minnesota since May 2020.
Minnesota Rising's latest event, "Patriot Paint Pour" was held yesterday at Cheers Pablo in Woodbury. Cheers Pablo is a family owned “paint and sip” studio where patrons can enjoy food and adult beverages with friends and family while creating their own work of art to take home. They have three Minnesota locations; Burnsville, Coon Rapids and Woodbury.
Minnesota Rising's "Patriot Paint Pour" was a successful event. It generated revenue for Cheers Pablo through food and beverage purchases, DIY art "paint pour" purchases and tips for staff. Attendees reported enjoying the event on social media, sharing photos of their painted creations. Additionally, the event raised $1,228.00 in donations for Cheers Pablo.

Event organizer, Jen Leigh told us that Minnesota Rising was seeking struggling businesses to offer assistance to when Cheers Pablo reached out to the group. Leigh immediately organized an event, to help the business gain much needed sales, and began promoting it on social media. After the event, she stated, "Today we brought in as many people as could fill the painting tables, paid for everyone's drinks and lunch and were able to turn a large profit for the businesses from donations, tips and paint pour purchases. For an artist this isn't just their business or their job. It's a part of their soul. It's a piece of themselves."
